Surprise Linda! Cinco de Mayo this year not only celebrated Mexican-American heritage, but it also shared celebration of Linda Vineyard's birthday. The event took place at Amarillo Country Club on an outside patio that overlooked the greenery of the golf course. Linda was greeted with a live mariachi band and folkorico out of Dallas, TX that danced and played all throughout the night. Some of Linda's closest friends also joined in celebration, enjoying house-made margaritas and a common Mexican beverage called Agua de Horchata. Dinner held a personalized menu with Mexican inspired dishes, starting with a chicken-fried stuffed avocado that was served before the main course. Chicken, cheese, and beef enchiladas were accompanied by rice and beans and a beef chile relleno as the main course. A couple of surprises remained for Linda as dinner came to an end. A flamenco dancer approached the stage in a bright red dress as she began her performance for the crowd. Following the flamenco dance, one of the chefs in charge of dessert took the stage as she introduced Linda's personalized, all chocolate moose-cake among other deserts such as tres leches cake and flan.
The remainder of the night was full of laughter, music, and dancing. VH Photo would like to thank David Vineyard and Amarillo Country Club staff for allowing us to share and capture this special night of celebration.
